Merci, Bruno. Tr?s int?ressant sujet. J'aimerais beaucoup assister. Je pense que le shofar c'est l'instrument utilis? pour d?molir les murs de J?richo, et sans "power chord"...!!! :-) Marcos On 22/05/2013 14:23, BdF wrote:

Presentation par BdF sur le Shofar.
The shofar is an instrument used in Jewish rituals, its purpose being to signal events of tremendous importance. Made of a ram's horn, its manufacture process has remained unchanged for centuries.
From a study by Theodor Reik, an early collaborator of Sigmund Freud, I shall explore what further significations may be attached to this instrument and its sound, notably in relation to Freud's approach to Totemism, and to Lacan's category of The-Name-of-the-Father.
I shall then evaluate the consequences which can be drawn with regards to the world wide ubiquity of musical activities, and the contribution of musical practices to the construction of the social bond in the 20th and 21th centuries.
As a whole, I hope to demonstrate the usefulness of a methodology which uses an intersection between different disciplines, such as musicology, archao-musicology, anthropology, ethnology, semiotics and psychoanalysis.
