[The-Lacanalyst] Transfer or transference?

Rebonjour Jacques,

I think the German Übertrangung is never defined precisely to the extent the ‘Über’ is left out, which would be more like Ur-Transfer in English.
Thus, whether translated as transfer or transference in English, the tendency is to always confuse the transfer with its effects, as a projection onto the person, and
not as a cause – as Übertrangung. In any case, this simple problem should be clarified not only in English but French.
